Invasive medical device for the reconstruction of the semi-rigid thoracic wall and its manufacturing process
The stabilization of the thoracic wall is of huge importance for avoiding of the paradoxal breathing and lung hernia, and the rebuilding of the semi-rigid tissues is essential in order to secure the pleural space.
The invention refers to an invasive medical device from textile fabric for the reconstruction of the semi-rigid thoracic wall and corresponding manufacturing process.
The designing and accomplishing a new technology for obtaining a medical device based on textile structure that assure:
- Stability of the endo-thoracic structures without any infection at the surgical wound level and biological reactivity accomplishment;
- The parietal stabilization in case of certain anterior and lateral big defects, and also in the cases when smaller defects resulted, for which, however, stabilization was considered compulsory owing to the patients’ age or to the alteration of the breathing functionality.
- Assurance of the thoracic wall stability for a long period of time;
- Preservation of the breathing function;
- The ensuring of the structural support in parietal defects irrespective of localization;
- Good social impact through the increasing of the quality of life;
- Better economical effects represented by the increasing of the turnover with cca 20% /year.
