Title* Apparatus meant for establishing the flat textile material resistance to water penetration
The construction of this apparatus allows the conformity with EU quality norms by developing new means of measurement which shall allow the testing in accordance with the standards in force for the characteristics regarding the determination of resistance to water penetration of textile materials and the performing of unitary tests. Beneficiaries are the economic agents that produce/export/import flat textile materials/garments/products meant for rain or wind proofing, sport articles, camping articles, tarpaulins, umbrellas, canvases, special destination articles, technical articles etc.
The apparatus is destined for characterizing the finishing treatment efficiency and the utilization value of textile articles that have to be resistant to water penetration, by using the hydrostatic pressure and complies with the conditions imposed by the legislation, especially of the SR EN 20811 ISO 811 standard.
The apparatus consists in a testing block of the textile material, which has the role of ensuring its fixing, a pneumatic installation which is intended to drive a hydraulic installation which achieves the pressure needed for the water penetration through the textile material sample and an automation installation that has a programmable controller. This programmable controller takes the information from a pressure transducer and a temperature transducer, and, depending on the test parameters entered by the user, drives the electro-hydro-pneumatic installation.
The technical-functional characteristics of the apparatus are:

• power supply: 220Vca; 50 Hz; 200 W

The apparatus novelty consists in the ensemble of constructive elements, geometry and their disposal, with a view of determining the resistance of flat textile materials to water penetration, by using the hydrostatic pressure test method.
The apparatus allows:
• the testing of textile materials which were subject to finishing treatments for water resistance;
• the characterization of hydrophobic properties of the textile materials which shall be resistant to water penetration;
• comparative testing of textile material samples to establish the optimum recipes of finishing treatments which are water resistant (water repelling, coating etc).
The offer has the advantage that it makes available for the economic agents the testing in accordance with the standards in force for the characteristics regarding the determination of resistance to water penetration of textile materials and the performing of unitary tests, at the level imposed by EU requirements.
